modulator type tool

modulator is a simple “font kit” tool that allows for a wide range of exploration – not only typographic but image-based as well. it is meant for creative users who are interested in building their own letterforms but do not have the knowledge, software, or patience to make a full-fledged typeface. specific keys correspond to basic construction units. for example, typing in “a” results in an upper left quarter-circle shape. “k” yields a straight horizontal unit. these can be linked together in nearly infinite combinations.
